Essences for our animal friends

Animals have thoughts, feelings, and emotions similar to ours, so it's no surprise that flower essences benefit them as much as they do us. Animals see and sense things that are beyond our comprehension in normal times, which is why they have an immediate and very clear reaction to the energetic qualities of essences. Energetic hygiene is just as vital for animals as it is for humans. They help us by energetically absorbing some of the disharmony we emit around us when we are stressed, emotionally disturbed, or physically sick. Have you ever noticed how an animal will stay by your side when you are not feeling well? According to some people, animals fulfill part of their destiny by helping us in this way. Animals absorb our negativity and emotions, so it is important to keep their energy field and environment clean and protected.

Essences for animals.pngAnimals also have their own problems like sadness, shyness, jealousy, fear, coping with changes. Sudden aggressive behavior or unusual violent reactions may be the result of a negativity overload. Flower essences are a wonderful and natural way to help your pet live a harmonious and balanced life.

One of the best ways to determine which flower essence is right for your animal is through kinesiology or dowsing. Another way is to carefully observe the animal's attitude and try to find a description of an essence that matches it. Being aware of your own feelings can help you understand what is happening to your pet. Although ALL flower essences are suitable for animals, Green Hope Farm has developed a range of 22 animal-specific combinations, Pacific Essences also has a range of 18 spray combinations for animals, Laboratoire Deva has a range of 4 combinations for animals and Alaskan Essences has a combination and a spray for animals.

Animals respond well to the energetic qualities of essences; they are not subject to the placebo effect, nor to the types of doubts and skepticism present in humans. While we would tend to think of only using them for our dogs or cats, essences can be of great help to all animals (wild or domestic).

In many cases, animals reflect the emotional state of their human. When one of your pets is sick, don't assume that their illness has nothing to do with you. Try to see if he or she is reflecting a stressful event or other current issue in your life. It will be helpful to take the essences yourself, while also finding the appropriate essences for your animal friend. Taking good care of oneself always facilitates our ability to care for others.

How to administer them

There are several ways to administer essences to animals:

  • You can place the drops directly into the animal's mouth or have them lick them after putting them into your hand.
  • You can place the drops into their water bowl.
  • You can place 7 drops in 50 ml of water and spray the resulting solution on or around the animal.
  • You can place a few drops in your hand and stroke the animal with that hand.

Below are some suggestions for essences that may benefit your animals.

One daily routine you can establish is to test yourself and your animals to see if you need balancing. Pacific Essences has an Emergency Kit for Animals (containing Balancer spray and the sprays of the 5 elements - Earth, Wood, Fire, Metal, Water) which can be a good place to start. You can test each of you for each of the 6 essences, starting with yourself. If you need an essence, spray it in your mouth, if one of the animals needs an essence, spray it on its back (or for animals that fear vaporizers, spray it in your hand and pet your animal). This can help identify potential issues to watch out for and get your day off to a good start. These essences are also sold individually.

Administering an emergency essence to an animal at the first signs of stress, restlessness or illness can be of great help. A few drops of an essence such as Animal Emergency Care (Green Hope Farm), Animal Care (Alaskan Essences), Balancer (Pacific Essences), Emergency Essence (Australian Bush) or Pear (Spirit-in-Nature) are often enough to restore balance and harmony.

Sturt Desert Pea (Australian Bush) or Grief and Loss (Green Hope Farm) will be useful for new puppies, to relieve the sadness of being separated from their mother and siblings. Some animals need time to get used to others or to any significant change in their surroundings - they may show signs of jealousy or start to mark their territory or destroy the house. Grape (Spirit-in-Nature), Raspberry (Spirit-in-Nature), Jealousy (Green Hope Farm) and Spraying (Green Hope Farm) are some of the essences that can help with these issues. Slender Rice Flower (Australian Bush) may also be helpful as it promotes group harmony and will help animals get along with each other.

Tomato (Spirit-in-Nature), Pineapple (Spirit-in-Nature) or Dog Rose (Australian Bush) bring courage and confidence to fearful, shy or timid animals. Neediness (Green Hope Farm) helps animals who are overly anxious to please or those who oscillate between mistrust and confidence to find their balance and a right relationship with their humans. Show Cats (Green Hope Farm) promotes balanced self-expression in animals, during and after competitions. It helps shy animals thrive and very confident animals find the appropriate calm and reserve.
